Best way to clean messy CSV imports?

I import a lot of CSVs from different vendors and the column formatting is never consistent — dates especially. Is there a faster way than manually reformatting every time?

July 15, 2026Try the prompt bar after importing: something like 'normalize all date columns to YYYY-MM-DD' works well since Sheets can detect column types even when formatting is inconsistent across rows.
